Great book June 2, 2007 Lyudmila Bogdanova (Orlando, FL USA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This is a great book: very easy to read, and contains plenty of information for introductory biology. In addition, it has a free website that comes with the book, and contains lots of helpful quizzes, study guides, videos, etc. A wonderful book!
Awesome! June 19, 2007 C. Martinez (Florida) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This was a really excellant text book! Compared to other biology texts, this was easily understood and was explained very clearly, very helpful to understand for people who do not enjoy science subjects like me!!
Essentials of The Living World September 26, 2009 Elsworthy Mews (Illinois) I am not a science major, by any means. Hey, I just need the class to become an interior designer. The book is definately not high school material. It is written on college level and meant for higher intellect. Considering my background, this means I must read and re-read this book to understand it. However, once I got going, I have to admit, it is quite interesting. I think I may learn something from it, after all! Well, gotta go. I have to read chapter 7!
purchasing a textbook from amazon February 1, 2010 Heather Dake (Newberry, Mi) The seller was very curtious and notified me that he actually had a paperback version verses the hardcover. I really appreciated that.

The book arrived on time and was brand new. It was well worth the price.
